Happy Holidays from A Connecticut Wedding Planner! It’s Christmas already?! The last 11 months have flown by at lightning speed! This year has brought many blessing and lessons personally and professionally, but the holiday season is a welcome reprieve from all the daily pressures. It allows my family to slow down, catch up with friends and family members that we haven’t seen in a while and make some new memories. The holiday season is filled with food (I’m headed to the dessert table now), tradition and my personal fav, PROPOSALS!
I was invited to a surprise proposal at the gorgeous Chart House NJ in New Jersey. My husband’s cousin and fellow Connecticut wedding planner Jasmin, are officially engaged! Between the view, the shock on her face and the thoughtfully crafted menu, it was a memorable evening. I also see all of you lovely ladies on IG sporting those brand new rocks (sis, he nailed it).
Although it’s exciting to jump in and starting pinning items onto your already detailed Pinterest board and everyone will ask “when is the big day”, it’s very important that you enjoy the new phase in your relationship.
Also, it is important to understand some of the most time sensitive things you’ll need to get to, ASAP..like choosing a date for the big day!
All too often, we are counting down the days until the wedding, but being affianced, is also season of its own, so ENJOY it! So take a trip with you new fiancé, write out your new last name 1 million times and day dream about the life that you are walking into to!!
