Wife, mom of 3 , plus a fur baby and a kick ass wedding planner! Lover of a GREAT craft cocktail, an even better conversation and can talk for HOURS about the best housewives franchise (it's ATL, duh)
As a Connecticut Wedding Planner, I know a thing or two about engagements! First, congratulations (let us see that BLING!). We’ve built a list of 5 things to do after you get engaged! This list isn’t exhaustive, but it will give you a head start on all of the things you’ll need to check off of your list, as a FIANCE!
Call your family:
You’ll want to call your parents, family and close friends first! They will be extremely excited to hear your excitement and see the bling! After sharing those details, it is fine to take it to Instagram!
Get a manicure!
Girl, you’ll be showing off your left hand so much, you’ll want to make sure your nails are to die for! Switch it up, often, because that new diamond is shining!
Insure your ring.
You’ll want to ensure that the investment on your left hand is insured in case of loss or if it is stolen. As a Connecticut Wedding Planner, we have tons of resources to make sure that you are covered. First, check your home owner’s or renters policy. If not, we’ve linked some resources below!
As a Connecticut Wedding Planner, I’ll always advocate for getting married in this beautiful state! However, you may not live here. So sit here with your new fiance, drill down on a location, be it local or a destination! Check out our blog, now below for additional information!
Choosing a date is another important detail! You’ll want to decide what time of year, what is available in terms of venue availability and vendor availability.
