Well, this blog post is for you! The countdown is on, and you know there are a million little details to pull together, but you just don’t know what to dig your heels into first. If you are short on time, you need to take the action steps below. Soon, you will feel like you’ve conquered most of the tasks associated in a big way without burning out your bestie with the daily deets.
Get organized
Outside of having the luxury of time, getting organized is the most efficient way to combat wedding tasks. Our hack is to create a digital wedding folder and then continuously add sub-folders to place all of the details in. For example, you’ll have various high level folders such as wedding ceremony, reception, and attendants. You can create sub-folders for your town’s marriage license requirements, officiant information and ceremony details. The reception sub-folder will shake out to be specific as well. You’ll have a folder for your DJ/Entertainment, venue, etc. Place your contracts, details and contact information for each vendor in a different folder so that it can be retrieved quickly.
With your wedding date approaching, it is necessary for all tasks to have deadlines. Create hard due dates for tasks that will take the longest to complete. The bridesmaids gowns, wedding dress alterations, floral meetings and the like should have dates that will allow you to check these tasks off long before the wedding date.
Book all vendors ASAP
Wedding vendors are often times booked 1 or 2 years in advance. Snagging the best vendors that fit your style and esthetic should be your priority. This could be the difference between booking your favorite band or the one that’s available.

Adhere to your budget
Living in a time crunch can lend itself to blowing the budget. The cost of rushed shipping alone can blow the bag. Be sure to review costs consistently, to ensure that you aren’t outside of your financial comfort zone.
